Inspiring Women

  • Barking Learning Centre (map)

🌟Join us for an entertaining and inspiring evening sharing words of wisdom and stories of courage from local heroines past and present!

🌟Guest speakers will give a brief speech about a woman with an east London connection who inspires them, including pioneering journalists, doctors, community leaders and activists.

🌟We'll have a couple of 'open mic' slots for 5 minute lightning talks, if there's a woman from east London history that you'd like to shout about! Sign up on the night, first come first served.

🌟You'll also have the opportunity to find out more about the East End Women's Museum, tell us what you'd like to see in it, and find out how you can get involved in our Heritage Lottery-funded project Working For Equality this summer.

Here's the Facebook event.

Refreshments and creche 🍷🥤🍏👶

Some free refreshments will be provided, and we hope to provide a creche facility if there is enough interest. If you'd like to attend and a creche would make that easier for you please let us know in the comments or in a message so that we can get a sense of how many people are interested!
