Asma Istwani (she/her) joined the East End Women’s Museum as Museum Development Lead in October 2023.

The team is supported by an experienced Board of Trustees, who have oversight of the East End Women’s Museum CIC and CIO organisations (more on our governance structure).
Alex has over 15 years’ experience in the voluntary sector, working for organisations campaigning around feminism, environmentalism, and democracy.

Catherine is our HR Trustee and has experience of setting up HR and EDI functions in the environmental, cultural and heritage sectors. Now living in Yorkshire with two daughters, she was born in Whitechapel and grew up in Tower Hamlets.
