Rachel leads the museum, on areas like strategic planning, fundraising and moving site. She previously worked at Arts Council England, Historic Royal Palaces, Museum of London and V&A, and is passionate about women’s history and gender equality.

Fani ensures we are connected to our local community, building relationships, overseeing our consultation, and managing volunteers. She has a background in activism, education, and theatre, and is also a member of the  MayDay Rooms  collective.

A Barking resident, Hannah is Programme Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. Previous to this she worked in Fundraising and Stakeholder Management in the cultural sector at organisations including Art Fund, Horniman Museum and Sadler’s Wells.

Gulshun helped to set up the first East London refuge for women of South Asian descent in the mid-1980s. She has a background in fundraising and business development, and, for the last 25 years, has worked for international charities in Palestine, Bangladesh, India and Uganda.
